Summit County Foreclosures are up, but well below station and nation

There are 300 Summit County properties entering the foreclosure process, compared to 190 in 2008. There were 56 single-family residences actually foreclosed upon compared to 23 in 2008. According to Summit County Public Trustee Bill Wallace and Maggie Dew with Stewart Title of Colorado.

Record High Home Sale In Breckenridge

On December 30, 2009 a home in the Timber Trail subdivision was sold for a Summit County record of $8.285 million. This transaction surpassed the previous high sale by $2.7 million from a sale on the same street. The home features 6,500 sq ft, 7 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms,4 fireplaces and 3 laundry rooms. One of the attractions was a 2,000 sq ft heated patio right on the ski run with a view of the Horeshoe bowl. According to the source, there were more sales of $2 million and up in 2009 then in 2008. Proof the the market is recovering and has a bright future!
