According to Land Title Guarantee and the Summit Association of Realtors Summit County MLS fifty five percent more condominiums have sold through February of this year than the same period last year. But prices are 16% lower. They say that sales are likely to exceed those of 2008 at some point this year. 21.6% is the average Summit County condominium price increase from 2007 to 2008. -19.5% is the average Summit County condominium price decrease between 2008 and 2009.
This last week in Breckenridge 10 listings went under contract and 10 properties have sold. Eight listings were over half million and one was with a selling price of over two million. The latest on our snow report for the last week is 9 new inches of snow! It has been great spring skiing conditions!
The snow that they predicted is finally here. It is snowing in Breck and supposed to keep going all day. Tomorrow should be a great ski day!
The weather was saying we were supposed to get some snow yesterday and today, but that is far from what we are getting today. It is 45 degrees and gorgeous! The word around town is it will snow tonight and maybe tomorrow.
Yesterday was windy and cold, but today has been beautiful! The temperature has been great and skiers said it was an awesome day. Supposed to get more snow over the weekend!
Bill Demong (Gold Medal) and Johnny Spillane (Silver Medal) returned from Vancouver recently to show off their new hardware. They earned their medals in the individual nordic combined. Both of them attended CMC, Demong in 2003-04 and Spillane in 2008.
As for the snow, it is flurrying and windy at the top. Not nearly the gorgeous day we had yesterday!
Today is gorgeous with blue bird skies and lots of new snow all around. It is the perfect day to ski!
The USA came into Sunday on an undefeated high including a previous win against the eventual gold medal winners. Last week USA beat Canada for the first time in 50 years. It was inevitable that we would meet them again in the Gold Medal game. They fought hard and tied the game with .24 seconds left to force overtime only to let Crosby score in sudden death for the win. We still won the medal count and had a great Olympics!
